Netflix and Chill – The Grown Woman Version.

(ThySistas.com) Ladies, have you ever just popped you some popcorn or grabbed your favorite movie snacks and just chilled at home on a Friday or Saturday night? If not, you are definitely missing out. There are so many “Girls night in” type of movies and sitcoms to binge watch on Netflix. Grab your wine and check out this list of films with predominantly African-American cast members that I found.
These movies are great to watch the next time you Netflix and Chill:
Sister Code: This movie stars Eva Marcille, Drew Sidora and Amber Rose. This movie is about three sisters who find their ways in life individually after the death of their mother. This movie has tons of African American co-stars in it as well.
Boy Bye: This movie is about a successful business woman finding love again, but even he is not perfect (neither is any man). Wendy Racquel Robinson, Shondrella Avery, Valerie Pettiford are just a few of the stars listed in this movie.
Nappily Ever After: This movie had us all extremely proud of rocking our natural manes when it debuted in theaters. Women were going in groups to watch this movie. Now, you can check out this movie in the comforts of your home on Netflix. Sanaa Lathan comes to adore her natural hair and find true love. Sanaa’s co-stars are Lynn Whitfield, Lyric Bent and Ernie Hudson.
Will 2 Love: Starring Marques Houston, Draya Michelle and Keisha Knight Pulliam to name a few, this movie is soooooooo good. Jamal Hawkins played by Houston, is a young, rich and eligible bachelorette is to receive an inheritance, only if he marries his true love. This movie talks about deception as well as having some comical moments.
A Weekend with the Family: This movie will definitely keep you in good spirits. The insanely hilarious casts Wendy Raquel Robinson and Clifton Powell who plays Marques Houston’s parents and Karrueche Tran whose family is not too fond her beaux that she bought home (Houston). Houston and Tran are an interracial couple who on a weekend, tries to make their families get along.
Too often we associate Netflix and Chilling to insinuate that sexual intercourse will happen with our partner in the midst of just chilling and watching a movie together. The grown woman version is simply just removing the partner from the moment and really enjoy what you are binge watching (now if you intimately connect afterwards, you go girl!) But once you have selected a movie (please feel free to watch the trailers first), you can create a cheese board or indulge in a healthier snack of your choice, put on some big comfy pajama’s, again, grab your wine, blanket, sheet mask and enjoy your night in, Netflix and chilling, the grown woman version.
