If you avoid listening to your negative emotions then this may seem like a very good idea, but in reality, it will cause you more issues later. If you ignore your emotions, then this will be like trying to run away from something that is sitting on your shoulder. The only way for you to deal with your emotions properly would be for you to stop and face them. When you do, you will soon find that you can easily feel better about yourself and that you can also teach yourself better habits.

Talk about it

When you face a challenging situation, you may find that the problems you experience grow and mutate. Self-care involves surviving very tough situations. You won’t be able to help others if you are incapacitated, so you need to say no to people from time to time if you can. This will make it possible for you to look after yourself more, so in-turn, you can go back to helping others. Sure, you may not have time for the healthy habits you once had, but you can still take good care of yourself if you take the right steps. If you don’t have time to prepare food, then keep some protein bars in your bag. If you are not able to go to the gym, then walk to work instead. Little things like this can help you to get things back on track as soon as possible.
