You Are Beautifully Imperfect.

(ThySistas.com) In the age of social media, people are comparing themselves to who they see living what seems to be a beautifully and perfect life in their timeline.  What is often not shown as we scroll on our timelines are the imperfections of others or ourselves.  It’s easier to post the happier moments than it is to post the low moments that we face sometimes in life.  You are not perfect, the person whose life you are getting a quick glimpse of is not perfect, but you are beautifully imperfect.

Being beautifully imperfect means that your inner and external countenance are in alignment with who are meant to be, naturally.  You are naturally beautiful on the inside and outside.  Makeup or body augmentations will never make anyone perfect.  You were not created to be perfect, you were created to fulfill a purpose for your life with the guidance of your Creator.  If you take away the butt injections, the expensive labels and the whole line of makeup that some social media influencers and entertainers have and wear, you will more than likely find an empty soul underneath.  With those enhancements, usually they are not seen by the public for their natural self.  But yet, time and time again, we get caught up in the hype of comparing ourselves to others, and not really knowing them on the surface of their reality.

Embrace your flaws, whatever they may be.  You can always change what you don’t like if you set your mind to it but make sure that changing those imperfections will truly make you happy on the inside.  If you’re unhappy about being overweight? Change it!  If you are shy and have low self-esteem? Change it!  If you have flabby arms?  Change it!  Whatever you deemed flawed in that way can be changed beautifully.  You want a beautiful relationship with your spouse?  Stop expecting perfection and change your mind set about your relationship.  Just as you aren’t perfect, neither is your partner or spouse.

Being beautifully imperfect centers you to acknowledge what’s really important in your life.  You don’t have to commit to doing anything extra or uncomfortable to get attention because you generally love what is natural to you.  Again, you can always change something you don’t like about yourself that is detrimental to your health and well-being.   But don’t ever change or augment your body just for 200k likes on social media.  You are destined for greatness but you have to make the decision that it already exists on the inside of you.  No amount of likes or attention on social media will confirm that.  You are beautifully imperfect and the people around you will know that once you exhort that energy into your environment.

Emily Estevez once said, “We are all wonderful, beautiful wrecks.  That’s what connects us-that we’re broken, all beautifully imperfect.” You are not the first and certainly not the last person to be in a crowded room and feel like no one sees you sitting or standing there.  You are beautiful regardless if no one ever says it to you and it is their loss to not have taken the time to get to know a great person who is beautifully and imperfectly, you!
