If She Doesn’t Hear You Walk Away.

Of course, you want to communicate in a manner that isn’t hard or off putting. You can even understand a bit of confusion as usually you are the support, but it shouldn’t cause a fight. You shouldn’t have to defend your character nor person. If you do realize you are in a one-sided relationship that doesn’t care to support you. It is hurtful and can add to what you are already facing. When the dust settles re-evaluate the nature of the relationship. Because if your sistah is not willing to hear what you need from her in a crisis you might need to walk away because one day she will be the crisis.

This is not a call to live in fear. It’s a call to learn more about this situation without cracking a joke. Don’t just blow it off as we’ve been at war in the Middle East for what feels like forever. Take the time to learn about our foreign affairs. You are a citizen and citizenship has responsibilities…being informed should be among them. Know that our soldiers will be put in harm’s way…they are someone’s children, spouse, parent, sibling, and friend…don’t take the threat to their life as a joke. There is a war American has never seen…and I pray she never does.

Why We Mourn Kobe Bryant.

We mourn because we didn’t get to see this man evolve into the next stage of greatness he was set to purse. When we look at him we can think of all the people, and children, we loss too soon. What they would have become is now a part of our imagination, and it hurts. Kobe Bryant is greatness personified…but he was far from finished, and his loss will be felt for a long time.
