Aging is not something we should have to apologize for. It is evidence that God has allowed us to keep living—to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. There is a wisdom and understanding that simply cannot be rushed. Some things only come through living, learning, surviving, trusting God, and yes… getting older.

And yes, aging comes with some changes! 😂 I may not be jumping off the back porch like I did when I was young. The glasses have become necessary, and this body has some wear and tear from childbirth and simply living life. LOL! But even those changes tell a story. This body has carried me through some things.

I want to age gracefully, but not just in appearance. I want to age fruitfully. What good is gaining wisdom if I never pour it into someone else? How can we be fruitful and multiply what God has placed within us if we are afraid of the very years that gave us something worth imparting?

So I’m grateful for the years. Grateful for the wisdom. Grateful for what is in my hands. And most of all, grateful that God has allowed me to keep living long enough to have something meaningful to give away.

I don’t just want to look good as I grow older—I want my life to bear witness that I grew wiser, deeper, and more fruitful along the way. ❤️
