We woke up one morning and realized our governor had invited the National Guard to New Orleans. In addition, our outgoing mayor is in turmoil, and we look at incoming leadership that still won’t center the deep needs for this city so that we all can thrive.

(ThySistas.com) I am from New Orleans. I was born and raised here as were my parents, and elders going back over five generations. We grew up with music and food that was like religion to us, and the city moved to its own culture sound and drum. It was not always favored by others, but it was our home. Hurricanes have threatened and damaged us for as long as I can remember. My elders lived through Betsy, and we survived Katrina. Resilience and survival are part of the fabric of New Orleans. We take care of our family and each other because it is breed into us at a young age, that we are all we have. I was always more optimistic in terms of the state, and though there were disagreements I tried to see unit. I used to think of New Orleans as a vital part of Louisiana growing up, but over time that began to change. I found it ironic that Katrina felt like genocide in my soul. I wondered why anyone would want to push the heartbeat of the city out. Black people are not the only people in New Orleans, but we are some the largest contributors and keepers of its culture. The culture people come to see simply does not exist without us. Yet so many of us were forced out of our homes and the city we love. We watched out homes being taken away and sold to the highest bidder. We watched it happen and felt the majority of our state was complicit in its silence. They took jabs at us as did the rest of the nation. Despite it all…we are still here.

After Katrina, as we struggled to come home, we watched a real time gentrification begin to happen in the city at a rapid rate, and our leadership was complicit. People of varying races moved to New Orleans and looked down on the Black native. They wanted to change a culture that had been here long before them. They wanted noise ordinances to silence the music that never stopped. They wanted to block streets that you could not, while being salty when a Second Line happened in their neighborhood. They didn’t realize the New Orleans you visit is not seasonal…that is life for us.

We watched the price of homes, rentals, insurance, everything skyrocketed while short-term leases were allowed to thrive in residential areas where families should have been able to live. Police began to see some and ignored others. Some native street vendors would be shut down, or they would have to jump through hoops to work, while other ethnicities were allowed to thrive, breaking rules they set for us. Yet in all of this were still expected to maintain the culture that keeps people coming to New Orleans all year long. This is exhausting, but more importantly it is heartbreaking.

How the homeless have been dealt with, and the issue of addicts that are not Black citizens further establishes the disenfranchised we experience in out own home. Our children don’t get the schools they deserve because our schools housed a good part of our culture, and it is being systemically destroyed. The culture we hold dear and have passed down for generations does not mean the same to the transplants. Some might disagree, but the truth is in how the natives of this city are treated. This is not Houston or Atlanta or another city in the US…the culture here is different and New Orleans can not survive without it.

We woke up one morning and realized our governor had invited the National Guard to New Orleans. In addition, our outgoing mayor is in turmoil, and we look at incoming leadership that still won’t center the deep needs for this city so that we all can thrive. New Orleans is, again, in a fight to survive and continue the culture we all know and love. What we create in our city happens to make money, but it is for soul first. The music that flows here is sourced from the depths of our being and it deserves to continue. We need to be able to have our soul respected in our place of origin. If you move to New Orleans please respect the culture and natives that are already here, if you can’t do so just visit or leave us in peace. Many of us will have to fight for our city the old fashion way…through the culture in the streets.

(ThySistas.com) Many decades have passed since Depo-Provera was first introduced as an option in reproductive healthcare, offering worry-free contraception with one injection every three months. It was widely recommended, especially in public health programs, and many women saw it as a reliable option. Yet they did not see the risks that were not fully disclosed, the long-term effects that were not adequately studied, and the systemic failures that allowed those dangers to go unchecked. Now, as emerging research links prolonged use of Depo-Provera to serious health complications, it is clear that the silence surrounding its threats comes at a cost.

The Hidden Dangers of Depo-Provera

Depo-Provera, also known as the birth control, shot, is an injectable contraceptive that contains medroxyprogesterone acetate, a progestin or synthetic version of the hormone progesterone. But unlike birth control pills that should be taken daily and require strict adherence, this medication is administered just every three months, which makes it a favored option for those seeking a low-maintenance form of contraception. Yet its risks have been a subject of debate for many years.

The legal use of Depo-Provera began when the country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved it in October 1992. However, prior to this, concerns about its long-term effects were already raised. Studies showed that prolonged use of this medication can cause bone density loss, which prompted the authorities to issue a black box warning in 2004 advising against its continuing utilization for more than two years. Despite this, some women, including those in the Black population, were prescribed Depo-Provera for extended periods. Researchers found that continuation rates for this medication were notably high among inner-city and minority adolescents—with more than 50% of these groups still using it after two years. But this extended use has led to harmful effects. Based on a clinical trial, users of Depo-Provera for over two years experienced a significant decrease in bone mineral density, and tragically, this did not return to baseline levels even after they stopped using the medication and underwent treatment. Other reported side effects also included an increased risk of tumors, breast cancer, mood disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.

Despite this, some women, including those of the Black population, were prescribed Depo-Provera for extended periods.

Not fully understanding and disclosing the nature of Depo-Provera and its disadvantages before its approval means that many women were not adequately informed about the dangers. And what seemed like a straightforward and low-maintenance birth control option became a source of medical uncertainty for those who trusted it.

Depo-Provera’s Disproportionate Impact

The risks of Depo-Provera were overlooked in ways that unreasonably affected specific groups. Black women were more likely to use this medication. In fact, an early analysis found that this group, including Hispanic women, were more likely to receive the birth control shot compared to their white counterparts. This pattern raises serious concerns about medical decision-making and whether certain populations were being steered toward specific birth control methods without full disclosure of the dangers.

The aggressive promotion of Depo-Provera is not new in marginalized communities. The latest data revealed that this medication is often a popular choice for lower-income women. This trend is concerning, especially when considering how systemic biases may restrict recipients’ options and, in some cases, direct them toward long-term use of contraceptives without proper counseling on the associated risks and available alternatives.

Laws surrounding informed consent are meant to protect patients from these situations. Yet the detrimental impacts of using Depo-Provera highlight serious gaps in enforcing these regulations. Many women were never told about its detrimental effects, while some are only now discovering the potential consequences of a contraceptive injection they trusted. With recent scientific findings, lawsuits are also emerging, which shows victims have started to seek accountability for the lack of transparency that puts them in jeopardy unknowingly.

Re-evaluating Long-Term Drug Safety

The history of Depo-Provera should serve as a serious reminder of how long-term contraceptives should be evaluated, regulated, and prescribed. This issue is particularly critical given that many negative consequences are often preventable. One notable study published by the British Medical Journal underscores this important lesson.

Research indicates that women who used Depo-Provera for more than a year were found to be at a higher risk of developing cranial meningiomas, a type of brain tumor that, although typically benign, can lead to serious neurological complications and may require invasive surgery. This study analyzed over 18,000 cases and revealed that individuals using this birth control injection for an extended period were more than five times more likely to develop meningiomas.

Considering the serious disadvantages of fast-tracked medications, pharmaceutical companies should not be allowed to distribute and sell medicines without a complete understanding of their long-term effects. The FDA and other regulatory agencies must strengthen post-market surveillance to immediately address any emerging safety concerns. Most importantly, healthcare providers must be strictly required to offer comprehensive counseling on contraceptive options to give women the necessary information to make truly informed choices.

No woman should have to face health risks simply because the birth control, she thought was safe ended up compromising her well-being. This is why it is important to rethink drug safety and informed consent, not tomorrow but right now. While strict measures ensuring women’s safety are yet to be implemented, those who were diagnosed with meningioma after using Depo-Provera may pursue a claim for compensation against liable manufacturers. Paralegal firms like Atraxia Law support women who meet specific eligibility criteria. To pursue a claim, you must have received at least two Depo-Provera injections after 1992 and been diagnosed with meningioma afterward. If you meet these criteria, reaching out to a legal expert could be the first step in holding the manufacturer accountable and seeking justice.

Renting a dumpster might not be the most glamorous part of planning your project, but it’s one of the smartest decisions you can make. It saves time, keeps your space safe and organized, and ensures proper disposal of waste. Whether you’re sprucing up your home, tackling a long-overdue declutter, or managing construction debris, a dumpster rental is the ultimate stress-buster. Why not make your life easier?

(ThySistas.com) When you think of tackling a big project—be it a home renovation, a massive declutter, or even a landscaping overhaul—managing the waste might not be the first thing on your mind. But let’s be honest: where is all that stuff going to go? Enter the humble yet incredibly helpful dumpster rental. If you’re on the fence about whether it’s worth it, let’s break down exactly why renting a dumpster can make your life so much easier.

1. Save Time and Energy

Have you ever loaded up your car or truck with bags of waste, driven to the landfill, and waited in line to dump everything? It’s exhausting, right? Renting a dumpster eliminates all of that. When you want to remove waste from a home cleanout or a new renovation, you’ll have one central spot to toss everything, and once you’re done, the rental company takes care of the rest. No multiple trips, no wasted Saturdays, no extra gas money spent.

2. Keep Your Space Organized

Whether you’re remodeling a kitchen or clearing out years of accumulated clutter, things can get chaotic fast. Piles of debris, random trash bags, and scattered junk can quickly overwhelm your space. With a dumpster on-site, everything goes straight into the bin, keeping your home, yard, or workspace tidy and manageable.

3. Avoid Safety Hazards

A cluttered space isn’t just inconvenient; it can also be dangerous. Sharp objects, broken materials, and random debris lying around increase the risk of accidents. Renting a dumpster ensures all waste is contained in one secure location, reducing the chance of someone tripping, cutting themselves, or worse.

4. Great for Projects of All Sizes

You might be thinking, “I don’t need a whole dumpster. My project isn’t that big.” But dumpsters come in a range of sizes, so you can pick one that fits your needs perfectly. From a small-scale garage cleanout to a full-blown construction project, there’s a dumpster size that’ll suit you. You might even find it’s more affordable than you expected.

5. Environmentally Responsible Disposal

Most dumpster rental companies don’t just haul your trash to the nearest landfill. They sort and recycle whenever possible, ensuring your waste is handled in an eco-friendly way. So not only are you simplifying your cleanup, but you’re also doing your part to reduce your environmental footprint.

6. Comply with Local Regulations

Did you know that some types of waste can’t just be tossed in your regular trash bin? Items like construction debris, certain appliances, or even large quantities of yard waste often require specific disposal methods. Dumpster rental companies are well-versed in local regulations and ensure everything is disposed of properly, saving you the headache of navigating the rules yourself.

7. Stress-Free Cleanup

Let’s face it: after you’ve completed a big project, the last thing you want to deal with is a pile of trash. Renting a dumpster allows you to focus on the rewarding part—admiring your hard work—while someone else handles the cleanup logistics. It’s one less thing to worry about.

Choosing the Right Dumpster for Your Needs

Now that we’ve covered why a dumpster rental can be a game-changer (oops, almost said it!), let’s talk about choosing the right one. Start by considering the type and amount of waste you’ll have. Renovating your bathroom? A smaller dumpster should do. Cleaning out the basement you’ve ignored for years? You’ll probably need a bigger one. Be sure to discuss your project with the rental company—they can recommend the best size and type for your needs.

Don’t Forget These Pro Tips

If you’re ready to take the plunge, here are a few tips to make the process even smoother:

Know your timeline – Estimate how long you’ll need the dumpster and book accordingly. Many companies offer flexible rental periods.

Plan the placement – Make sure there’s a clear, flat spot for the dumpster to be dropped off. You’ll want it as close as possible to the work area.

Sort your waste – Keep an eye on what’s going into the dumpster. Certain items, like hazardous materials, may not be allowed.

Don’t overfill – Stick to the fill line marked on the dumpster. Overloading it can result in additional fees or safety issues during transport.

Ready to Simplify Your Next Project?

Renting a dumpster might not be the most glamorous part of planning your project, but it’s one of the smartest decisions you can make. It saves time, keeps your space safe and organized, and ensures proper disposal of waste. Whether you’re sprucing up your home, tackling a long-overdue declutter, or managing construction debris, a dumpster rental is the ultimate stress-buster. Why not make your life easier?

From makeup tutorials and hair care routines to discussions on mental health and social justice, these creators contribute to a more inclusive and representative digital landscape.

Community Building and Engagement: Successful Black female content creators understand the importance of building a community around their content. Engagement with their audience through comments, social media, and interactive content fosters a sense of connection and belonging. This community-building aspect not only strengthens their personal brand but also creates spaces for important conversations and shared experiences.

Authenticity and Vulnerability: Authenticity and vulnerability are key elements that resonate with audiences. Many Black female content creators on YouTube have found success by being unapologetically themselves, sharing their triumphs and struggles. Viewers appreciate the genuine nature of these creators, creating a deeper connection and sense of relatability.

Keys to Success for Aspiring Creators

Define Your Niche and Passion: Before embarking on a YouTube journey, aspiring creators should define their niche and passion. Whether it’s beauty, gaming, lifestyle, or activism, identifying a niche allows creators to target a specific audience and stand out in a crowded digital landscape.

Invest in Quality Content: Quality content is essential for attracting and retaining viewers. Invest in good equipment, learn basic video editing skills, and focus on creating content that is visually appealing and aligns with your brand. Consistency in content quality helps build trust with your audience.

Be Consistent and Regular: Consistency is key on YouTube. Set a realistic posting schedule and stick to it. Regular uploads not only keep your audience engaged but also improve your channel’s visibility in YouTube algorithms, increasing the likelihood of attracting new subscribers.

Engage with Your Audience: Actively engage with your audience through comments, social media, and community features on YouTube. Responding to comments, asking for feedback, and involving your audience in content decisions create a sense of community and connection.

Promote Your Content: Building an audience requires active promotion. Utilize social media platforms to share your videos, collaborate with other creators, and participate in online communities related to your niche. Cross-promotion helps expand your reach beyond YouTube.

Embrace Authenticity: Authenticity is a powerful tool for success. Be yourself, share your story, and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. Audiences appreciate genuine creators who share their experiences, and authenticity fosters a deeper connection with viewers.

Educate Yourself on SEO and Analytics: Understanding search engine optimization (SEO) and analytics is crucial for growing your channel. Learn how to optimize video titles, descriptions, and tags to improve discoverability. Analyzing your audience’s behavior through analytics helps tailor your content to their preferences.

Collaborate and Network: Collaboration with other creators can expose your content to new audiences. Network within your niche, attend virtual events, and join online communities to connect with like-minded creators. Collaborations offer opportunities for mutual growth and increased visibility.

The rise of Black female content creators on YouTube has not only diversified digital content but has also empowered a new generation of creators to share their voices authentically. Aspiring creators, irrespective of their background, can find success by defining their niche, investing in quality content, fostering engagement with their audience, and embracing authenticity. The YouTube platform, with its vast audience and creative potential, remains an inclusive space where diverse voices can thrive, leaving an indelible mark on the digital landscape.

(ThySistas.com) The entrepreneurial journey can be both rewarding and challenging, but for Black female entrepreneurs, the road to success often comes with unique hurdles. From accessing financial assistance to finding coaching, mentorship, and inclusive spaces with valuable resources, navigating the business world can seem daunting. However, with the rise of organizations and initiatives dedicated to supporting diversity and inclusivity, opportunities abound for Black women to overcome obstacles and thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Financial Assistance:

One of the most significant barriers for any entrepreneur, including Black women, is access to funding. However, various resources are available specifically to address this issue and level the playing field.

– Grants and Competitions: Many organizations and government agencies offer grants and competitions exclusively for women and minorities. These grants can provide a significant boost to starting or scaling a business. Research and apply to opportunities like the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) Growth Grants or the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards.

– Minority-focused Funds: Several venture capital firms and angel investor groups focus on funding businesses led by minorities, including Black women. Seek out firms like Backstage Capital or Harlem Capital that actively invest in diverse founders.

– Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs): CDFIs are organizations that provide financial services to underserved communities. Some CDFIs have specific programs tailored to support minority entrepreneurs.

Coaching and Mentorship:

Having access to experienced mentors and coaches can be a game-changer for entrepreneurs. These individuals offer guidance, support, and valuable insights to navigate the challenges of building a successful business.

– Incubators and Accelerators: Joining an incubator or accelerator program can connect Black female entrepreneurs to seasoned mentors and coaches who can provide personalized guidance and connections to investors and industry experts.

– Professional Networks: Participating in professional networks and organizations, such as the National Black MBA Association or the National Association of Women Business Owners, can provide valuable opportunities for mentorship and coaching.

– Online Platforms: Virtual mentorship platforms like SCORE or MicroMentor offer access to a wide range of mentors who can provide expert advice on various aspects of entrepreneurship.

Inclusive Spaces and Resources:

Creating and sustaining a supportive and inclusive business environment is crucial for the success of Black female entrepreneurs. These spaces offer networking opportunities, resources, and a sense of belonging in a predominantly male-dominated landscape.

– Co-Working Spaces: Many cities now boast co-working spaces that cater to diverse groups of entrepreneurs. These spaces foster collaboration, idea sharing, and access to resources, making them ideal for Black female entrepreneurs seeking a sense of community.

– Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: Seek out organizations and communities that prioritize diversity and inclusion. For example, the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) connects minority-owned businesses with corporate partners.

– Online Communities: Social media platforms, preferably LinkedIn and Facebook, host numerous groups and communities dedicated to supporting and empowering Black female entrepreneurs. Joining these groups can lead to valuable connections and resources.

– Diversity-Focused Events and Conferences: Attend conferences and events that focus on diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship. These gatherings often provide valuable insights, networking opportunities, and access to potential investors.

– Online Courses: I completed the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University and it was offered to me for free! Not only did I network with women from around the country, we also receive monthly emails about business grant and mentoring programs that are local, regional, and international. I really enjoyed my time in the program and I highly encourage any woman with a business or wanting to start one to pursue this program.

Building a Support Network:

Beyond financial assistance, coaching, and inclusivity spaces, creating a strong support network is vital for Black female entrepreneurs. Surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals who understand the unique challenges they face can be a powerful source of motivation and encouragement.

– Join Local Meetups: Seek out and participate in local business meetups or networking events specifically geared towards supporting Black entrepreneurs.

– Form Peer Groups: Establish or join peer groups of fellow Black female entrepreneurs to share experiences, resources, and strategies for success.

– Seek Allies: Allyship is crucial in promoting diversity and inclusivity in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Collaborating with allies who actively support Black women in business can lead to valuable partnerships and opportunities.

In conclusion, Black female entrepreneurs possess immense talent, vision, and determination, and the entrepreneurial landscape is gradually becoming more inclusive and supportive. With financial assistance opportunities, coaching, mentorship, and access to inclusive spaces and resources, Black women are empowered to overcome obstacles and thrive in their entrepreneurial pursuits. By leveraging these valuable resources and building a strong support network, Black female entrepreneurs can continue to break barriers, make significant contributions, and inspire future generations of diverse business leaders.

Stay informed and engaged in your child's education, and be a positive role model for responsible technology use. Address cyberbullying and online safety, and cultivate a growth mindset to prepare your children for a bright future in the digital age.

(ThySistas.com) As parents, one of our most important responsibilities is preparing our children for the future. In today’s rapidly evolving technological world, it’s crucial that we equip our kids with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in school and beyond. This task can be especially daunting for Black parents, who may face unique challenges. However, with the right strategies and support, we can ensure our children’s success in this digital age.

Embrace Technology as a Learning Tool

Technology is not the enemy; it’s a powerful tool that can enhance your child’s education. Encourage your kids to explore and utilize technology for educational purposes. Invest in reliable devices like tablets or laptops, and help your children navigate online resources, educational apps, and websites that can support their learning journey.

Teach Digital Literacy

In a technological world, digital literacy is as important as traditional literacy. Ensure your children understand how to use digital devices safely, responsibly, and effectively. Teach them about online privacy, the importance of strong passwords, and how to spot fake news and scams. By instilling good digital habits early on, you empower them to make informed decisions in the digital realm.

Set Screen Time Boundaries

While technology is a valuable tool, it’s essential to strike a balance. Set clear guidelines for screen time to prevent overexposure and ensure your kids have time for other activities like physical exercise, reading, and face-to-face interactions. Monitoring their screen time helps maintain a healthy balance between the virtual and real worlds.

Encourage Critical Thinking

In today’s information age, teaching your children critical thinking skills is paramount. Encourage them to question information they encounter online, think critically about the content they consume, and seek diverse perspectives. Discuss current events, issues, and social justice topics to foster critical thinking and empathy.

Promote STEM Education

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields are shaping the future job landscape. Encourage your kids, regardless of their gender, to explore STEM subjects. Many organizations offer STEM programs and scholarships to underrepresented minorities, providing opportunities for your child to excel in these fields.

Foster Creativity

(ThySistas.com) With the mounting concern over environmental sustainability, one of the most effective and easy ways to contribute positively to the environment is by reducing waste. One of the primary ways we can do this is through our shopping habits.

The idea of eco-friendly shopping doesn’t just include purchasing products with less packaging or switching to reusable bags; it extends to what we wear too.

A growing trend in sustainable fashion is the buying of used clothing bales, a practice that comes with numerous environmental, economic, and social benefits.

Understanding Used Clothing Bales

Before we delve into the benefits, it’s crucial to understand what used clothing bales are. Essentially, these are large packages of pre-loved clothing that have been carefully sorted, cleaned, and compressed into manageable bundles. These bales often contain various items, including shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, and jackets, in a variety of styles, sizes, and seasons.

Used clothing bales can come from different sources: thrift stores with an excess of stock, charity shops, recycling companies, and even individuals who choose to sell their unwanted garments in bulk. These clothing items, instead of ending up in landfills, get a second life in a new wardrobe, contributing to a more sustainable, circular economy.

Let’s check out the benefits of using pre-loved clothing-

Environmental Impact

A tremendous benefit of buying used clothing bales is the positive impact it has on the environment. The fashion industry is known to be one of the largest polluters worldwide, and it significantly contributes to the climate crisis. A considerable amount of energy, water, and resources go into producing a single piece of clothing – from the farming of raw materials like cotton to the manufacturing and transportation of the finished product.

When you buy used clothing, you’re bypassing this energy-intensive process. You’re not contributing to the demand for new clothing, meaning fewer resources are used, and less waste is generated. It’s a small step, but when done collectively, it can have a significant impact.

Reduced Waste

Over 15 million tons of textile waste is generated each year in the United States alone. The majority of this ends up in landfills, where it contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and takes up valuable space. By opting to buy used clothing bales, you’re not just preventing perfectly good clothing from going to waste, but you’re also reducing the demand for new items to be produced.

Lowered Carbon Footprint

The term “carbon footprint” symbolizes the aggregate of all the greenhouse gasses produced either directly or indirectly by a person, a company, an occurrence, or a commodity. The common unit of measurement for this phenomenon is typically carbon dioxide.

When you consider the lifecycle of a piece of clothing, you realize the carbon footprint isn’t just from the manufacturing stage. It includes emissions from the farming of raw materials (like cotton, which uses significant water and often involves harmful pesticides), production and dying processes (which use energy and often toxic chemicals), and transportation from factories to retail stores worldwide (which usually involves fossil fuels).

By choosing to buy used clothing, you’re essentially reusing items that have already been produced and bypassing the energy-intensive process of manufacturing new garments. This reduces the overall demand for new clothing production, which, in turn, results in fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

Moreover, by purchasing used clothing bales, you’re preventing these items from ending up in landfills where they could produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas, as they decompose.

Thus, buying used clothing considerably lowers your carbon footprint as it contributes less to greenhouse gas emissions compared to buying new. It’s an easy yet effective step towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

Economic Benefits

Aside from the environmental benefits, buying used clothing bales can have a direct impact on your wallet. Pre-loved clothing is typically sold at a fraction of the original retail price, making it a more affordable option. This is particularly beneficial for families on a budget, as it allows them to access a wide range of clothing options without breaking the bank.

Social Benefits

The social benefits of buying used clothing bales are two-fold. Firstly, many organizations that sell used clothing are non-profitable, and the revenue they generate goes towards supporting various charitable programs. By buying used, you’re directly contributing to these causes.

Secondly, the practice of buying used clothing encourages a culture of recycling and sustainability. It’s a tangible way of demonstrating that consumption doesn’t always have to mean buying new. It’s a practice that can be shared within communities, helping to promote more sustainable behaviors.

Conclusion

Eco-friendly shopping, particularly through the purchase of used clothing bales, offers an incredible opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment, economy, and society.

By choosing to buy used clothing, you’re not only getting access to a unique and affordable range of clothing but also playing a role in reducing waste, lowering your carbon footprint, and supporting worthy causes.

As consumers, we hold a lot of power in our choices. By making small changes in our shopping habits, like opting for used clothing, we can make a big difference in creating a more sustainable world.

(ThySistas.com) Today a lot of us spend a lot of time at work. It doesn’t matter if you work on site or work from home, to make ends meet there are weeks we spend more time with our co-workers than we do with our family. This can cause work to develop a culture of its own; we tend to see it form from day on in job training. There is a shifting that happens whereby we are cool with some, indifferent to others, and there is usually that person you just don’t care for too much. Then somehow I’m too many setting we meet at least one person that becomes family.

You might start a job with the mindset of, “I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to do a job and clock out”. Too many of us have said it, but it goes out the window once the job training begins. The truth is, in many professions we must be willing to work well with others. In meeting new people we very well may find a co-worker that we mesh well with. However, it is important to be mindful of the very fine line between work support, and work drama.

We all need those co-workers that can assist us when needed, and that help make the work environment palatable. You never want to be that person that is caught in a bind, and can’t reach out to a soul. This is apart of making sure you are covered. Furthermore, building positive work relationships is also a form of networking that can stay with you if you desire to move up within the company, or if you have to change employment. Unfortunately too many of us end up succumbing to work drama. Knowing the tea might seem hilarious at first, but this kind of being in the know has consequences across your life. There is no way to deal in drama, and not get caught up, especially if you’re too trusting.

Think about it: how often do you engage in gossip on a company computer in their chat space, how often do you screenshot information, when the mess hit the fan do you find yourself taking a side, and does the work drama follow you home. All it takes is one situation to go down and someone decided to drag your name into it. You might now be an active participant, but someone is adding and all you did was spectate. You’ll be looking for the nearest exit from the work drama only to find that the door out is well hidden.

There are co-workers that will become family, but they are few. They look out for you, and add to the work environment and your life. Some co-workers are great on the job, and that’s where it stays. Please understand this is okay; Both scenarios are good work support relationships. Work drama should be avoided at all costs. It doesn’t just run the risk of threatening your employment, it can shift the environment in a negative way. When it follows you home you’ll find yourself feeling more stressed out…it’s very draining. You don’t get paid to court this kind of toxic behavior. You van know what’s going on in the office without feeling obligated to engage in the madness. Work can stressful enough with tasks, deadlines, meetings, emails, and everything that comes with the territory. Don’t let the drama add unnecessary weight, and bleed a toxic energy from your workplace to your place of rest.
