Gemini has a dual nature which is often referred to as “the twins”. While it is commonly noted for Gemini’s, we all have a dual nature within which holds both feminine and masculine energy. Those who deny either of the energies within will remain unable to access the entirety of their personal powers. The Gemini new moon is bringing forth cleansing and healing energies that will allow us to feel both aspects of our nature so that we better understand which energy is most suitable for the task at hand. When we are balanced in our feminine and masculine energy, we are able to be gentle and firm, healing and destructive and think using both our left and right brain.
When we are balanced within our feminine and masculine energies, we do not have power struggles outside of ourselves. We are able to innerstand the divinity of man and woman without the need to control or give control over to others. We reside in a society that paints men as aggressive and women as submissive. Our society attempts to control our homes by programming us with specific tasks to perform within them. We do not look at one another as spiritual beings having our own life purpose and path in the journey of life but rather judging one another by what a man or woman should do and be. These assumptions and expectations are rarely based on our experiences and beliefs but rather on the programming we have received from others in our society.
Gemini knows it is their dual nature that makes them an individual and they are comfortable sitting alone because within they are in tune with their team. Most of us fear being alone and will allow others to degrade, abuse, intimidate, mislead and misguide us just so we don’t have to sit alone and explore the innermost aspects of ourselves. Divorce is prevalent in our society because individuals enter marriages based on the values of society only to realize they require different things on a personal level. We enter temples, churches, masjids and spiritual centers pleading for Spirit to send us our physical mate although we have no concept of self or our needs. We say things like “such and such knows me better than anyone” and unfortunately for many, we do have others in our lives that know us better than anyone (self included). We plead for someone to love us completely as we are while we criticize ourselves for everything from the way we look, walk, dress, look naked, speak and were raised. We bounce from one “amazing” in the beginning person to the next “this is the one”. We spend more time getting relationship readings and studying the astrology and numerology charts of our potential mates and lovers than we do for ourselves.
Many of us parents know more about the life purpose and experiences of our potential mates and lovers than we do our ourselves and our children. We crave romantic relationships not to build on our purpose or mission but because we need someone to love. We need someone to be close to. We need someone who understands us and who is willing to love us unconditionally in spite of. Sadly that someone we crave looks us in the mirror several times a day and rather than expressing love back, we look to see what we can change and how we can improve ourselves so that true love can appear in the flesh. We are never enough for ourselves and hence we will never be enough for anyone else long-term. Only in the movies does someone love you more than you see fit to love yourself.
The Gemini New Moon is bringing forth an energy that supports the full self, the feminine and masculine divinity within, granting us the opportunity to truly explore who we are, communicate our truths and to play while we’re doing it.
